Meet our newest faculty member
Introducing a new faculty member - Dr. Hossein Salehi. Hossein was born in Tehran, Iran where he obtained an undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering and where he worked as a Java and C# developer before earning a master in financial management from the University of Tehran. His journey to the US took him on a detour to Turin in Italy, where he spent a year studying mathematical finance, learning Italian, and exploring Europe. In 2011, he moved to Lubbock, TX, where he pursued a master degree in economics, a CFP (Certified Financial Planner) certification, and graduated with a PhD in Personal Financial Planning and a minor in Business Statistics. At the SOM, he will be teaching courses in Finance and Financial Planning in both undergraduate and graduate programs. Welcome Hossein!
