Damaged or Lost Items
Pearson Library is now fine-free, but patrons remain responsible for fees charged on lost or damaged items. Any item not returned to or resolved with the library will be billed to the patron's account. The lost or damaged fee includes the item's replacement cost plus a processing fee. Payments can be submitted through the Pearson Library eStore.
Holds
Patrons may place an item on hold via the item's detail page in the library's catalog and will receive an email when it is available for pick-up. Students, faculty, and staff may place up to 10 items on hold at one time. If a desired item is checked out to another patron, please wait for notification it has been returned or try borrowing the item via Interlibrary Loan.
Renewals
Patrons may renew library materials on or before the item due date, providing no other patron has requested the item(s). To initiate a renewal, patrons may login to their library account with their myCLU credentials or contact the Circulation Desk for assistance. Up to two renewals are permitted on all items excluding: test materials, Course Reserves, interlibrary loans, and library equipment. Items may not be renewed if the patron has met the renewal limit, if another patron requested the item, or if the item is being placed on Course Reserves.
For Interlibrary Loan (ILL) materials: Please fill out this request form before the due date so we may seek an extension from the lending library.
