SOAR into Telios

July 27th-August 1st, 2025

SOAR (Summer Orientation to Academic Resources) into Telios is a free, one-week summer bridge program taking place July 27 – August 1 hosted by Student Support Services (SSS) and the Office of Student Life. Designed to support your transition to Cal Lutheran, this immersive experience offers early access to campus life, academic resources, and a welcoming community to help you start strong. Tailored for students eager to make the most of their first year, we guide you in exploring your strengths, connecting with leadership and involvement opportunities, and—  most importantly — build meaningful relationships with fellow first-year and transfer students before the semester begins. Eligible incoming first-year and transfer students are invited to take part in this program that will:

  • Facilitate your transition to a college environment
  • Allow you to connect with other first-generation students
  • Introduce you to the process of academic exploration
  • Challenge you to examine your values and interests

Eligible students can apply each summer for a limited number of spaces. Click here to join our SOAR into Telios interest list. More information will be provided via email.

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must be an incoming Cal Lutheran student and meet a combination of these factors:

  • Be a first-generation college student; meaning that both parents have not completed a four-year bachelor's degree
  • Meet specific low-income financial guidelines set forth by the U.S. Department of Education
  • Receive services from the Disability Support Services program
