About Us

Taiwo holds a PhD from Indiana State University and has dedicated the past three decades to faculty and administrative roles at two-year and four-year public institutions nationwide. In his current role, he oversees the Educational Effectiveness division, which includes Institutional Research, Assessment, Pearson Library, Digital Learning, Faculty Development and Inclusive Excellence, the Writing Center, the Center for Equality and Justice, and the Center for Academic Service Learning. Additionally, he serves as the Accreditation Liaison Officer for the university.

Katie comes to us with more than 15 years of experience working as an Office Manager in multiple dental offices in the area. Katie will be performing a variety of responsibilities, sensitive and confidential administrative support for offices and units that report to the Education Effectiveness area. Outside of work she spends the weekend with her husband hiking, kayaking or exploring the Central Coast as they love to be outdoors exploring. In a world full of roses, be a sunflower.

Melinda is a Cal Lutheran triple alum, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in English (2003), a Master of Education with an emphasis in Teaching (2008), and a Doctorate in Higher Educational Leadership (2019). Prior to joining the Office of Educational Effectiveness and Institutional Research, she worked in the Office of the Provost and the former Assessment Office. She currently serves as one of five Academic Affairs Senators for Staff Senate. Her primary areas of emphasis include program review, accreditation, survey research, Qualtrics training and support, and course evaluations. In her free time, this mom of three loves to read and enjoy the magic at Disneyland. She believes with a little faith, trust, and pixie dust anything is possible!
