Convocator Scholarship
Purpose
The Convocator Scholarship is made possible by the generosity of donors who deeply value religious faith. It is given to those students who demonstrate the principles of Cal Lutheran's mission, thereby exhibiting confidence in their identity and vocation. A limited number of scholarships will be awarded each year.
Scholarship Amount
- $2500, automatically renewed for subsequent years
- Recipients of the Convocator Nomination Scholarship who are eligible for other Cal Lutheran academic scholarships are able to receive both scholarships during the academic year as long as all combined aid does not exceed the total costs of tuition and fees.
Eligibility Requirements
- Admitted to Cal Lutheran
- Must be nominated by a Convocator
- First-year or transfer traditional undergraduate students
- Enrolled full-time (12+ units per semester)
- Active participants and leaders within their and the Convocators’ respective faith community

If you are interested in receiving the Convocator Scholarship for the upcoming academic year, you can request to have a Convocator contact you and your pastor or religious leader.
February 15th: Priority deadline to submit your Request for a Convocator Contact form
March 1st: Priority deadline for a Convocator to submit your nomination request

For Convocators - How to Nominate a Student
Convocators can nominate prospective students from within their faith communities prior to a student's admittance to the university for the upcoming academic year. Convocators may not nominate family members.
