  • Project Title: “Silenced Voices, Stolen Time: The Wrongful Convictions of Latine Youth”
  • Mentor: Andrew Madrigal, PhD, Assistant Professor, Criminology and Criminal Justice 
  • Earning a BA in Psychology and minoring in legal studies, Ashlyn is also enrolled in the University Honors Program while serving in student government as ASCLU President for 2025-2026 and as a peer adviser.

  • Earning a BA in Global Studies, Ninelihle was also a Community Scholars for Black Lives fellow in 2024-2025 and serves as co-president of the Global Studies Club on campus.

  • Earning a BS in Environmental Science and minors in communication and global studies, Vanessa is enrolled in the University Honors Program and is co-president of the Earth Society club on campus.
Jenny Quintero ’26

  • Project Title: “Fear and Belonging: How ICE Presence Reshapes Latino Community Spaces in Thousand Oaks”
  • Earning a BA in Sociology and BA in Ethnic and Race Studies, Jenny has also been co-president of the Latin American Student Organization, a peer adviser for the First Year Experience program, and a Presidential Host Lead, organizing campus tours.
