Production Facilities
Studio A
Located in the K-building, Studio A is the flagship recording studio for the music production program on campus. The 800 square-ft control room features an all-discrete, state-of-the-art 48-channel API Vision recording console with recall automation and additional outboard equipment. The console connects to a 48-channel Pro Tools HD Accel system featuring pristine Antelope audio interfaces.
Additionally, Studio A features a 1000 square-ft live room with 15-ft ceilings. Resident instruments include a Bösendorfer grand piano and a DW drum set. The department's large microphone collection includes mics from AKG, Neumann, Royer, Mohave, Sure, Audio Technica, Sennheiser, Yamaha, Electrovoice, and Crown.
Studio B
Also in K-Building, Studio B features an Avid C-24 control surface with a 16-channel Universal Audio Apollo interface, outboard equipment, and monitors by KRK.
This room also connects to the Studio A live room for direct recording into Studio B.
Studio C
Referred to by students as the "Red Room", Studio C is a small collaboration studio located in the Zimmerman Music Studios facility. It features a UAD duo interface, external preamps and other outboard gear, midi drums, analog synthesizers, beat pads, and other midi equipment. The studio computer hosts Logic Pro, Pro Tools, Ableton live, a multitude of software instruments, and signal processing plugins by Universal Audio, Waves, Eventide, Sound Toys, among others.
Studio D
Our newest workstation, Studio D features a cinematic scoring workstation with software instruments by Vienna Symphonic Library, Spitfire, Cinesamples, and Embertone.
Studio D is located in Zimmerman Music Studios.
HUM 105 Mac Lab
This lab features 20 iMacs running Logic Pro software. It's located in Soiland Humanities Building.
