Thank you for your interest in our STEM Academy program. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances we are unable to offer the program for Summer 2023.

What is the STEM Academy?
- The STEM Academy is a two week program during the summer at California Lutheran University to help incoming students who wish to have a career in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
Who can attend the STEM Academy?
- Students who are admitted to Cal Lutheran for the Fall 2023 semester (Freshmen and Transfer)
- Students who are interested in majoring in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline
- We invite students from all underrepresented backgrounds (including but not limited to gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or disability) to apply to the STEM Academy. Student who identify as Hispanic/Latinx or qualify for income-based financial aid will receive priority
When is the STEM Academy?
- The STEM Academy will be July 9th - July 21st, 2023.
What is the cost to attend the STEM Academy?
- The STEM Academy is free for students!
What is the benefit for my child?
- They will gain experience that will help them prepare for their science and math courses.
- They will learn ways to be successful as students.
- They will receive 3 college credit units which will count towards their degree at Cal Lutheran.
- They will meet other students and form a community of support.
- They will qualify for other programs in subsequent summers.
Where is Cal Lutheran?
California Lutheran University is located in Thousand Oaks, CA just 30 minutes south of Oxnard, CA, and 35 minutes north of Los Angeles, CA.
