Cal Lutheran has been named an "Opportunity College and University - Higher Access, Higher Earnings" by the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education. Only 16% of U.S. colleges and universities earned this designation.

This designation shows our commitment to student success and the real-world impact of a Cal Lutheran degree, which gives our graduates a solid foundation for professional success.

Right after graduating, I started working in venture capital, with impact funds that invest in underrepresented founders. I secured a role at a $100 million venture fund that exclusively invested in the U.S. Latino startups. With my skills in marketing and data analytics, I was able to support the fund and its founders in various capacities. The environment at Cal Lutheran gave me the confidence to pursue my interests in venture capital, with a particular focus on supporting the Latino community.
