Accreditation

The PsyD program is accredited by the American Psychological Association.  As a new program, 2014 was the first year that we were permitted to apply for accreditation. Our self-study was submitted to APA-CoA in August of that year and we received our site visit in April 2015. On August 18, 2015, we were notified that our next site visit will be scheduled for 2022, which is the maximum length permitted.

Questions related to the program’s accredited status should be directed to the Commission on Accreditation:

The PsyD program meets the Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards/National Register (ASPPB/NR) "Guidelines for Defining a Doctoral Degree in Psychology." For you, this means that graduates who decide to apply for licensing as a psychologist typically will meet the educational requirements for licensing in the United States and Canada. However, there are additional requirements that must be satisfied in each jurisdiction. For exact information, please contact the state, provincial, or territorial licensing board of the jurisdiction in which you plan to apply. ASPPB/NR Designation Programs
