Beginning to Save: Rationality, Financial Knowledge, and Saving Behavior

The proposed research tests the effectiveness and usefulness of an automated savings product designed to train and motivate beginning savers, and explores whether there is a market for such a product. The proposed project theme, scope, and purpose relate to addressing six Sustainable Development Goals: ending poverty; ensuring health and well-being; inclusive and equitable lifelong learning opportunities; gender equality; employment that is sustainable, productive, and decent; and reducing inequality.
