About
Formerly a television producer, newspaper features writer and columnist, radio newscaster and reporter, weekly radio talk-show host, television news anchor and an NBC affiliate news division manager. Directed a nationwide television and radio public information program in Kiev, Ukraine. Managed a Washington-based television news service, and served as bureau chief in its Moscow office during the final months of the Soviet Union in 1990-91. The American representative in Moscow for a US-Soviet newspaper joint venture between the Literaturnaya Gazeta and the Sun World Corporation.
Worked with international media and clients including CBS, BBC, Krieble Institute, New York Stock Exchange, Transcom Communications, Hill & Knowlton, Gavin Anderson & Company, The PBN Company, East-West Films, Cardean University, and About/Primedia. He has worked with social and economic reform programs including VISTA, Head Start, and the United States Agency for International Development.
He currently hosts and produces The Science Circle Podcast, a global alliance of scientists, educators and students based in the Netherlands.

Expertise
Research interests include expanding worldwide access to learning opportunities – especially for developing nations – with research in transcultural themes and images; worldwide education access through appropriate tactics and technology; theories of learning; sociocultural influences on economic development; organization of international learning institutions; and innovations in international and domestic education.
