Stabilization Program for Patients with Eating Disorders in the role of Clinical Training Director
Dr. Schur is a licensed psychologist and registered nurse. She has over 25 years experience in the treatment of adolescents and adults in inpatient and outpatient medical, psychiatric and mental health care settings. She specializes in the treatment of eating disorders. Dr. Schur is on the medical staff at Torrance Memorial Medical Center in Torrance California and is the Clinical Training Director for the Eating Disorders Medical Stabilization Program. She has trained dozens of clinicians and worked intensely with a multidisciplinary staff team to build competencies in treating a broad spectrum of eating disorders. She developed and implemented an APPIC-approved pre-doctoral internship program at The Bella Vita, Eating Disorders Treatment Program. The comprehensive curriculum she created encompassed key competency areas spanning intrapersonal, systemic, and medical aspects of diagnosing and treating eating disorders.
