About

Mr. Dillon has been playing with computers since 1976, and working with them since 1982.  After earning his Masters in Computer Science from Cal Lutheran, he began teaching at CLU part time "for the joy of working with students."

He began his software career, ironically, as a hardware engineer, designing automated test equipment at the circuit level, then writing the code that controlled the circuitry and related test instruments.  His last hardware design was a Radar Range Simulator, which mimicked the intermittent return pulses of a target attempting to evade a fighter aircraft.

Frequently published and occasionally featured as a speaker at technical conferences, Mr. Dillon is a "recognized expert" in the field of IBM Lotus Notes application development, especially with business workflow applications.

Outside the world of software, his passion is peformance rally racing (www.WidgetRacing.com). He has twice won U.S. national championships as an Open class rally co-driver.

He looks forward to many more years as a member of the CLU faculty.
