About

Denise J. Danne, Ed.D., retired in 2012 after a 40-year career in Education, where she first served as a high school French and English teacher, then an assistant principal, a high school principal, director of human resources and finally assistant superintendent of human resources. She has been an adjunct faculty member at CSUCI, CSUN, Pepperdine University, and currently at CLU. Dr. Danne is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with both a B.A (with Honors) and M.A in French Language and Literature and Pepperdine University with an M.S in Administration and a Doctorate (Ed.D.) in Institutional Management. She was appointed to the Governor’s Advisory Panel for the Comprehensive Review of Teaching Credential Requirements (SB1422) and co-authored California’s Future: Highly Qualified Teachers for All Students, a report that has inspired major reforms in the areas of teacher education, recruitment, induction, standards, and certification. She is also a contributing author to the California Standards for the Teaching Profession. She specializes in professional development and has presented numerous state-wide seminars.
