About
Dr. Brent Morris is a 34 year law enforcement veteran with experience at the City, County, and Federal level. Serving with the Ventura Police Department, Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office, U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, Brent held a wide range of assignments including patrol, jail operations, training, executive protection, human resources, finance, and coroner investigations. Brent retired as a Commander with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office in 2012.
Education
Brent earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice & Psychology from the University of LaVerne in 1980; a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from California State University, Northridge in 2001; a Master’s Degree in Leadership from the University of Southern California in 2008; and his Doctor of Education Degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Southern California in 2013.
Brent’s areas of interest include leadership development, problem solving, learning, and motivation.
