  • Social Media and the Church: A conversation about "why to" rather than "how to"
Why should the Church or your organization be engaged online (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, etc.)? We'll go over some basics of what social media is and then dive into conversation around why and how we could be engaged online. Why would we tweet during the sermon or presentations...wouldn't that be distracting? How can we have meaningful experiences online? Why should we invest in online relationships? All ages and levels of social media knowledge/interest are welcome.

  • Finding Your Voice: A Guide to Activism
Learn the basics of activism, how to get involved as an activist and ways to make a difference in your community. Your story matters. Find your voice, use your gifts and meet the needs of your community to create change.

  • Seven Sacred Pauses
Living Mindfully Through the Hours of the Day. Based on the book by Macrina Wiederkehr. Are your days frantic? Do you rush through your day and "to do" list with fury? Do you feel the need to work harder and faster? When was the last time you took a cleansing breath and an intentional pause? Even if your day is filled with good things, is it possible to be less busy and still productive? Healthy living necessitates finding balance in work, service, prayer and leisure. Come learn about seven times during the day you can take an intentional pause, reconnect with God and restart your day. The wisdom of pausing at these sacred times can be a treasure. These seven sacred pauses may become a part of your daily practice. There are many creative ways in how this can be done. We will explore each of these together.
