About the Study
Participants
We are looking for biological parents who served as the primary caregiver for a child who was between 3 and 5 years old between March 2020 and March 2022. Participants must have lived in the U.S. and have been responsible for the child’s care since the child’s birth.
Eligibility
You may be eligible to participate if:
- You are the primary caregiver (providing childcare at least 50% of the time).
- Your child was born between March 2015 and March 2018.
- You have lived with your child their entire life.
- You have lived in the United States since your child’s birth.
- You are proficient in English.
- You have access to technology for a Zoom meeting and online questionnaire.
Procedures
If eligible, you will:
- Review and sign an informed consent form (via email).
- Participate in a recorded virtual interview via Zoom (~45–60 minutes).
- Complete an online questionnaire (~30–45 minutes) with questions on parenting beliefs, stress, mental health, and your child’s emotions.
The total time commitment is approximately 2 hours. A member of the Parenting Lab will stay on the Zoom call throughout the process to support you and answer any questions.
Incentive
Participants will receive a $20 Target eGiftCard upon completion of the interview and survey.
